Nestled in the seaside community of Laguna Beach, California, Pacific Coast Recovery Center (PCRC) provides a center of excellence for adults in the treatment of

A holistic approach is incorporated into a 12-step treatment philosophy that combines the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each patient.
PCRC is located just steps from the beach at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach, a not-for-profit, 208-bed community, acute care hospital. PCRC is unique as a hospital-based program allowing care to be provided in a private and medically safe setting. Acute medical detoxification, intensive rehabilitation programs, and a family program are provided in one location. A featured specialty service is an exclusive treatment track for individuals with chronic pain and chemical dependency.
Knowing that you have the support services of a JCAHO accredited hospital brings peace of mind to those we serve. Medical consultation and a 24-hour a day emergency department is available, if needed.
At PCRC, a multidisciplinary team of addiction medicine specialists offers care in a compassionate, safe and confidential setting. Leading the treatment team is medical director Daniel Headrick, M.D., a specialist with more than 20 years of experience treating chemical dependency and chronic pain.
Other experienced addiction team members include physicians, nurses, certified drug/alcohol counselors, psychologists, acupuncturist, a holistic health nurse, massage therapist and recreational therapists.
Pacific Coast Recovery Center is unique in its location due to the fact the secluded hospital's front-yard is just steps from the beach! Breathtaking ocean-front views are visible from all patient rooms, offering a spiritually relaxing and reassuring place for healing.
Private rooms are available on the 32-bed unit. The atmosphere in the unit reveals a peaceful feeling within a seaside setting.
The center has a private meditation room with a panoramic ocean view. The program includes yoga and daily physical exercise. With the ocean one block away, trips to the beach are included as part of the rehabilitation treatment program.
Since it's a hospital-based program, Pacific Coast Recovery Center can also provide care to patients who may be medically compromised and in need of intensive nursing care.
