Admission Process:
We are so happy you have chosen Pacific Coast Recovery Center! Upon arrival you will be greeted by the Intake Nurse who will complete a Nursing assessment. This includes obtaining your vital signs (i.e. temperature, blood pressure, pulse) to determine your current medical condition as well as assess you for signs and symptoms of chemical withdrawal. Since we are a full-service, acute care hospital we will be able to immediately address any urgent medical concerns.
Upon completion of the nursing assessment you will be given a tour of the facility and shown to your room. Admissions or nursing staff will inventory your belongings.
If Family members or friends accompany you we will ask them to complete a Family Questionnaire.
All patients have an opportunity to meet with the physician within 24 hours of admission.
Each patient will be assigned a “buddy” within the treatment community to help familiarize the newly admitted patient to his/her new surroundings, and to assist with the overall orientation process. A Primary Counselor (Case Manager), who will serve as a guide and mentor throughout all phases of treatment is also assigned within the first few days.
